Volunteer to make or purchase a traditional pumpkin pie to brighten an elder’s Thanksgiving.

Drop off the pie at the LBFE office, just in time for the holiday.

To ensure a consistent experience for our elders, please make or purchase a traditional pumpkin pie in a 9-inch round disposable pie pan.

We will take care of cutting the pie and placing it in a festive box.

LBFE is a volunteer-based nonprofit organization committed to relieving isolation and loneliness among older adults in the Twin Cities area since 1972. Through the generosity of our supporters and dedicated volunteers – like you - LBFE helps isolated elders stay socially engaged through one-on-one home visits, group activities and holiday events, while also providing advocacy and referrals.
As an LBFE holiday volunteer, you will bring joy and connection into elders’ lives during a season when loneliness is most deeply felt. You will also be helping to decrease health risks that their isolation often brings. Through your generous gift of self, we are confident that you will come away with a deeper appreciation of elders and find your own experience personally rewarding.
